The Pricing Specialist will ensure a high volume of customer interactions, encompassing prospecting, customer service and account management.

Responsibilities:

• Strategically buy, price, and prepare freight quotes and opportunities including FLT, LTL, Domestic, Flatbed, Over Dimensional Loads, Drayage, Port to Door, and Specialized equipment.
• Price project request that provides our customers with innovative, cost-effective solutions; research, source carriers, negotiate pricing.
• Maintain a high level of market awareness for the North American carrier network including the relative lane costs, capacity, and key trade lanes.
• Rate negotiations with carriers.
• Participate in sourcing carriers for new and existing activity.
• Assist with streamlining the pricing and carrier database and ensuring it is up to date.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for management, Ex. Quote Securement ratio
• Encouraged to bring on sales and help grow the Proactive brand.
• Attending occasional sales calls when required.
• Achieving individual, team, and company goals on a monthly / yearly basis.
• Working as a team in a positive manner to maximize opportunity.
• Learn and apply Continuous Improvement principles to all areas of responsibility

Qualifications:

• 3+ years 3PL transportation experience
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Advanced Microsoft Office Software, Outlook
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Strong communication (both verbal and written), problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong knowledge of North American geography.
• Experience with cross border shipping requirements.
