Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Director of People Operations to drive its integration as a media group. This role will be key to integrating an existing set of separate business units and teams into one, cohesive, operating group.

Here is what you'll be doing on a day to day basis:
- Play an important role on the organization's leadership team.
- Represent the people, organizational structure, and effective culture at the group management level.
- Help the leadership team set organizational strategy and support its implementation.
- Act as an ambassador to the culture, values, and mission of the organization in all engagements within and outside of the business.
- Have a good understanding of the business model and unique economic value proposition of the organization.
- Help shape the thought processes, structures and business processes that actually land in delivering meaningful value.
- Help leaders identify skill gaps, implement new structures and develop training programs to enhance team capabilities.
- Enable leaders to recruit, hire, onboard, and train high-performing teams.
- Promote departmental cohesion and team alignment to vision and purpose.
- Work closely with the corporate HR team to implement functional HR in the organization including, regulations, employee documentation (job specs, contracts etc), benefits and other workplace policies.
- Oversee with the support of the corporate payroll team, the payroll processes.
- Working with leaders in the organization to design and administer reward systems, performance management and regular feedback processes.
- Enabling and supporting leaders in employee processes including hiring, onboarding, addressing complaints and conducting disciplinary/ retrenchment processes.
- Helping people at all levels connect their personal purpose to organizational purpose.
- Promoting an engagement model for healthy leaders & healthy followers across the organization.
- Foster a healthy culture of cross-functional collaboration across departments in the organization.
- Oversee the people calendar and key ceremonies to enhance employee engagement and alignment.
- Manage the employee experience as it relates to the office environment and key touch points to create a warm, welcoming place to work.
- Facilitating & co-creating leadership patterns that serve the organization as a whole.
- Fostering an environment of growth & accountability.
- Creating opportunities for coaching leaders at every level of the organization.
- Helping leaders understand their key role in creating alignment and empowerment of teams
Here is the type of person we are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience representing people and culture at a senior leadership level
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement people and operational strategies that drive business success
- Passionate about creating deep employee engagement and building a resilient, adaptable culture.
- Helping leaders and employees develop the mindsets, processes and approaches they need to succeed in their roles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- A keen understanding of the digital media industry and current market trends.
- Enjoys a high performance environment and wants to make a positive impact.
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Understanding of financial statements and budgeting processes
Salary: 150K-200K
