Our client has asked for our help in looking for aDirector of Web Development for a permanent position. Define and evolve the architectural roadmap for the web platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and security to meet both current and future business needs.
Here is what you'll be doing on a day to day basis:
- Oversee and mentor individual engineers, ensuring effective coordination and collaboration to deliver high-quality products.
- Manage team workloads and allocate resources efficiently, balancing competing priorities while maintaining high performance standards.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance within the technology organization.
- Conduct performance reviews, identify skill gaps, and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities
- Work with existing team leads within the development team, to grow their teams and upskill management skills.
- Coach leaders in the technology organization on effective conflict-resolution, morale management and general responsibilities of effective leaders.
- Define and evolve the architectural roadmap for the web platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and security to meet both current and future business needs.
- Lead the adoption and implementation of innovative technologies and design patterns to ensure the platform remains competitive and aligned with business growth.
- Continuously evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and tools that could enhance the performance, usability, and security of the web platform, making informed decisions on technology adoption.
Here is the type of person we are looking for:
- 4+ years of experience leading and scaling high-performing technology teams.
- Proven track record of driving web development strategies that align with business objectives and support long-term growth.
- Passion for creating exceptional user experiences, ensuring products are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with customer needs.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform technology decisions and track performance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
Salary: 130K-165K - *dependent on experience
