Ambipar's Industrial Services division operates a large fleet of modern Vacuum, Combo, Hydrovac, Water, Gravel & Winch Units across Alberta, British Columbia & Saskatchewan. Our services are utilized on many different projects ranging from Downhole Drilling, Pipeline HDD, Daylighting and Civil Construction Projects.

As a Heavy Equipment Technician you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining the company's fleet of equipment in our Nisku or Mannville location.

Our Manville location which is approx. 2 hours east of Edmonton & approx. 40 minutes east of Vegreville has the opportunity to provide accommodations with shift work flexibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Lubricate, service, diagnose, repair, assemble and maintain equipment and perform other routine maintenance work
  • Ensure repairs and maintenance follow all provincial and federal transportation safety regulations and guidelines
  • Follow the safety program, including all policies, procedures and practices
  • Complete work orders upon completion of each job
  • Train operators to maintain vehicles while in the field
  • Provide field service calls when required
  • Ensure the shop is maintained and clean

Qualification and Competencies:

  • 2-3 years industry experience
  • Registered HET Apprentice or Journeyperson in Alberta (or province transferrable) is required
  • Safe driving skills; driver's abstract will be requested
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Skilled in problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Test
