MRG Live Marketing & Ticketing Intern

The MRG Live Marketing & Ticketing Intern will support the Live Marketing & Ticketing departments with both administrative and creative content tasks, gaining experience developing marketing campaigns, executing creative marketing content, and learning how a marketing team functions day-to-day and stays on top of ongoing workload and tasks. This Intern will support both the Marketing Managers, the Ticketing Manager as well as the Content Marketing team during their time in this role.

ABOUT OUR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The MRG Group Internship Program is designed to provide you with practical skills, valuable experiences, and exposure to real-world scenarios in the Experience industry.

The program is structured to ensure that 80% of your time is dedicated to performing activities specific to their role, while the remaining 20% is allocated to job shadowing, skill development, and team projects across various businesses within the MRG Group.

In operation since 2008, The MRG Group has grown to become Canada's largest independent entertainment company, and through its ownership of 10 hospitality properties and 6 venues across Canada, the business is passionate about providing positive shareable experiences for its guests, 500+ employees, and partners.

In addition, The MRG Group owns and operates an events business, travel company, digital publication, and ticketing service AdmitONE. In 2021, the business expanded its presence into the US, signing its first venue deals with properties in New York and California later that year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research artists and fan demographics, brainstorm creative marketing campaigns, and assist in community outreach efforts.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams, such as Design and our advertising agency partner, to support marketing initiatives in a timely and organized manner.
  • Print and distribute live event posters around the office, venues, and downtown Vancouver.
  • Manage external media, photography and guestlist requests.
  • Create, execute and maintain Loycals contesting platform for local and national contests.
  • Submit recently announced shows to relevant, local event listings sites and platforms.
  • Attend MRG Live events to capture social content (evening and weekends, as required).
  • Assisting in monitoring presales and on sales
  • Providing and scheduling ticket counts as needed
  • Creating and managing events on Square for MRG Live Credit Redemptions
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to handle multiple projects at a time, while prioritizing effectively
  • Strong communication and writing skills, with high attention to detail
  • Reliable self starter, with enthusiasm for the role and a willingness to assist and work as part of a strong team

Considered an Asset

  • Enrolled in or recently completed a marketing (or related) school program
  • An understanding of advertising principles and marketing trends
  • An understanding of social media and culturally relevant trends
  • An understanding of ad buying platforms
  • A passion for live events and music

Internship Program Term

Start Date: January 14, 2025
End Date: May 30, 2025
