Role

Reporting to the President, the Human Resource Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting the People & Culture (P&C) Department within Arctic Arrow. They are responsible for handling various administrative tasks related to the employee life-cycle including recruitment, employee records, benefits administration, and employee onboarding. They will also contribute to the efficient and effective functionality of the day-to-day P&C processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment and selection process, including posting job advertisements, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientation sessions, preparing required documents, and updating employee records.
  • Provide support with employee training programs including the Apprentices & Trades program.
  • Maintain and update employee records and the Employee Management System and P&C Vault.
  • Performing file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected accurate and maintained.
  • Assist with employee benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Handle employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including performance reviews and employee development plans.
  • Draft internal company communications for review and approval, and distribution to AA employees.
  • Scheduling meetings, taking minutes and other administrative support as needed.
  • Assist in organizing corporate and employee events.
  • Prepare HR-related documents, such as employment contracts and termination letters.
  • Assist with employee relations matters and investigations as needed.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned, and the role may adapt as per business needs.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an HR or administrative role.
  • Knowledge of HR principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in SharePoint considered an asset.
  • Experience in MFiles considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
