Scheduler - ODP
Location: Glencore Onaping Depth Project - Sudbury, Ontario.
Work Schedule: 5/2, Monday to Friday.
Reports To: Project Engineer.

General Purpose of This Position:
Reporting to the Project Engineer, the Scheduler will apply methodologies to schedule durations, resource usage and task dependencies for the scope of project work required in the control and delivery of the project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Health and Safety
- Work in compliance with all health and safety rules and regulations for Cementation.
- Be aware of any health and safety hazards or infractions and report them to the Health and Safety Department.
- Participate in the site safety program.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain baseline schedule according to project requirements.
- Create and update detailed schedules in conjunction with construction work packages
- Integrate project change orders into schedules.
- Monitoring schedule compliance and allocate and level resources according to their availability.
- Create and update master schedules detailing the sequence of all work to be performed to ensure schedule is realistic.
- Maintain master schedule for the project and identify and record the impact of work performed according to the schedule.
- Incorporate Sub-contractor schedules and track performance against baseline.
- Coordinate and track fabrication and delivery schedules from Suppliers.
- Coordinate schedules for design submittals into master schedule.
- Integrate testing, start up and commissioning into master schedule.
- Integrate construction progress and provide regular schedule update reports.
- Proactively identify problems or conflicts in the project schedule and assist the Project Manager(s) and/or Superintendent(s) in effectively managing a resolution.
- Integrate schedules with client master schedule.
- Developing short term (weekly) schedules in conjunction with all relevant stakeholders.
- Developing look-ahead (4 week) schedules.
- Ensuring schedules are communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
- Producing both routine and exception reports covering scheduling issues.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Degree from a recognized university or diploma from a college program relevant to the areas of responsibility.
- 3 - 5 years of experience, in an underground environment with a portion of time spent in the role of planner, and or scheduler.
- Experience in underground development & construction.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Solid level of proficiency and knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- Knowledge of Deswik OPS considered an asset.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners, and other stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- High level of confidentiality and trust.
- Able to effectively prioritize workload to ensure strict deadlines are met.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Able to organize, compile, and analyze information from multiple sources.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Project, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- General knowledge of provincial and federal mining acts and regulations.
- Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity and innovation.
