ServiceMaster of the Fraser Valley is a restoration company that started in Abbotsford in 2002 and since has opened offices in Langley and soon Chilliwack. Our people are the core of our business, and we are looking for someone who is people centered at heart and enjoys variety in their day to day.
At ServiceMaster we like to have fun and laughter is often heard in the air. We carry that positive attitude with us even as we are running out the door to assist people 24/7 with emergency losses at their homes and businesses (such as fires and floods). What You Will Do
Provide up to date communication and photos to Production Manager regarding status of work
Determine category of water loss
Extract water using truck mount and portable pumps
Assist in determination of non-restorable building components
Assist with demolition of non-restorable material
Set up drying equipment as per established procedures
Monitor drying process and adjust equipment as required
Work within on On-Call rotation for after-hours emergencies
What You Have
Water Restoration Technician Certification (considered an asset)
Clean Criminal Record Check
Valid Class 5 Drivers License with a clean abstract
Experience driving/parking a panel van and cube truck
Ability to lift industrial fans 30-40 lbs
Ability to load/unload wheeled industrial dehumidifiers 75-100 lbs
Knowledge of construction and basic building materials
Safely use power tools and hand tools
Experience in custodial work, pressure washing, carpet cleaning (considered an asset)
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Ability to work alone or with minimal supervision
Ability to empathize with clients/customers who have experiences loss of personal property
