Salary: Base ($55k-70k) + Commission

We're looking for a digital hustler who's hungry and wants to build relationships with local and regional brand partners, and grow The Coast into the most-read daily newsletter in Halifax.

If you're someone who wants to help us build a 7-figure community media publication and be rewarded for the growth of the brand, then you're who we're looking for.

This is a full-time sales role, that's remote and based in Halifax, NS.

What you'll do:

  • Own the cycle of ads and sponsorships, from prospecting to pitching to closing, to retaining (together with your sales leaders).
  • Create and build relationships with local and regional brand partners (AKA outbound sales).
  • Produce and deliver compelling presentations and media plans.
  • Track data to understand what's working and not working for your clients.
  • Become a resource in the community for brands to grow their business.

About you:

  • You have proven B2B sales experience, ideally in the media and newsletter space, ideally in Halifax.
  • You have attention to detail.
  • You can present and communicate extremely well, whether virtually or IRL.
  • You're savvy with all the digital tools and can learn quick (we use Hubspot, Google Workspace, Beehiiv, Slack, and others).
  • You love working in a fast-paced environment, can work on and meet tight deadlines, and take feedback well.
  • You care about your work, your community, and the people around you.
