About The Opportunity:

The G2 Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of propane appliances, tanks, and related equipment. This role involves providing technical support to customers, performing inspections, and troubleshooting propane systems in compliance with the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) regulations. The G2 Service Technician will also assist with service dispatch and participate in the on-call rotation for emergencies.

  • Install propane tanks and related systems for residential, commercial, and agricultural customers.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on propane appliances, including heaters, gas piping, tubing, and pressure regulators.
  • Handle gas check inspections, cylinder/tank exchanges, and dispenser inspections.
  • Conduct start-ups and inspections of propane appliances (up to 400,000 BTUs), ensuring proper functionality and safety.
  • Troubleshoot and repair propane systems, ensuring all work meets regulatory and safety standards.
  • Respond to customer calls to diagnose and resolve technical issues with propane appliances and tanks.
  • Perform 5-year safety inspections and other routine checks on propane equipment.
  • Operate service vehicles and specialized equipment, such as tank movers, as required.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers and the service department as needed.
  • Assist the Lead Service Technician with complex repairs and system installations.
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner, explaining the work being performed and answering any questions.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and ensure a high level of service satisfaction.
  • Maintain inventory in the service truck, ensuring all necessary parts and tools are available for jobs.

About You:

  • Must hold and maintain a valid G2 LP Gas Technician License.
  • Valid Class G Or DZ driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in propane installation, service, and repair is preferred.
  • Knowledge of TSSA regulations and compliance standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills for customer interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Must be available for the on-call rotation, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy equipment.
  • Comfortable using handheld computer equipment for logging service calls and tracking jobs.
