Job Title: Business Development Representative

Compensation: $110,000 base salary + 2% commission on new business
Benefits: Mileage reimbursement, cell phone and home office expense reimbursement
Overview
Client is expanding its sales team to accommodate increased demand and to divide territories effectively. We are a family-owned business with a hands-on, approachable C-suite. This role is designed for a motivated individual with proven sales experience, preferably in building materials, to expand our market reach in Washington.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Expansion: Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory. Client Relations: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients. Market Knowledge: Develop expertise in glass and building materials, proactively researching trends to enhance client offerings. Revenue Growth: Drive consistent growth through strategic sales and proactive lead generation. Reporting: Track and report sales progress and client feedback to senior management.Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of business development or sales experience, ideally within the building materials sector (e.g., glass, granite). Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills, able to work independently and as part of a team. Assets: Proficiency in golf is an asset, as it can facilitate industry networking and client relationships. Education: A degree or relevant certification in business, sales, or a related field is preferred.Work Environment
This position is remote-based with a flexible work schedule but will require periodic visits to our Burnaby, BC, location.
