One of our manufacturing clients in Niagara Falls, ON region is looking for a Laboratory Supervisor (Biotechnology) for their facility.
Shift: Days
Pay - $80K
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise laboratory staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance in all laboratory activities.
- Oversee laboratory operations, including sample processing, data analysis, and reporting.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory practices.
- Manage laboratory budgets, including procurement of supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with research and development teams to support ongoing projects.
- Monitor and evaluate laboratory performance, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Prepare and present reports on laboratory findings and activities to management.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in biotechnology.
- Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a laboratory setting, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of biotechnology techniques and methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and data analysis software.
