Hopewell Real Estate Services is seeking an organized, relationship-focused, proactive, and results individual to become its next Property Manager. If you have hands-on experience in financial administration, property upkeep, project management, and the ability to collaborate with everyone from senior managers to tenants, your next exciting career move could be waiting for you!

Please note: This role is based out of Calgary, AB, reporting directly to the National Director, Property Management.

As our Property Manager, your daily responsibilities may include:

Financial Management and Reporting

  • Preparing, analyzing, and interpreting budgets, leases, and financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually)
  • Providing reports and summaries for senior management and stakeholders, including Accounts Receivables and variance analyses
  • Overseeing property administration and ensuring all expenses are within budget

Property Maintenance

  • Ensuring all properties are maintained to a high standard, aligning with corporate objectives, and approving all property expenses
  • Conducting regular inspections and negotiating annual contracts for services (i.e., snow removal, landscaping, etc.)

Tenant Relations

  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with tenants, responding promptly to requests
  • Overseeing lease renewals and approving tenant construction plans

Leadership

  • Fostering a positive workplace environment and resolving conflicts as they arise
  • Upholding company policies and driving process improvements to increase efficiency
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align efforts with corporate objectives

On your resume, we ask that you outline the following experience:

  • 5 – 10+ years of commercial property management experience
  • Post-secondary certificate/diploma; bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Yardi experience (P2P preferred), as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically, Excel
  • Demonstrated experience with financial reporting practices
  • Comprehensive and hands-on understanding of property management systems and processes
  • Established ability to negotiate and implement contractual agreements while maintaining professional relationships with tenants, staff, developers, brokers, partners and industry stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of legal documentation, including offers to lease, lease agreements, sublease agreements, purchase and sale agreements and restrictive covenants
  • Demonstrated experience in directing the development and management of complex projects
