We are currently recruiting a Construction Foreman/Forewoman to assist our Construction division with fast-paced, challenging general contracting projects (multi-storey, mixed-use, commercial and institutional) that are shaping the Edmonton Skyline! The Foreman will report to the Site Superintendent.

We are currently recruiting a Construction Foreman/Forewoman to assist our Construction division with fast-paced, challenging general contracting projects (multi-storey, mixed-use, commercial and institutional) that are shaping the Edmonton Skyline! The Foreman will report to the Site Superintendent.
Wage
- $37.00 - $40.00 per hour depending on experience, negotiable
- $30 bi-weekly cell allowance

- Read drawings and accurately interpret and complete calculations
- Planning and sequencing of tasks and methods
- Operate laser level confidently and complete basic layout tasks/checks
- Leveling, squaring, ensuring plumb, stability and strength of structures
- Familiar with framing and building envelope systems
- Work accurately and economically
- Follow carpenter trade guidelines and regulations including provincial building codes
- Clearly communicate with superintendents, foremen, lead hands and team members
- Plan and build temporary hoardings
- Assist with planning, sequencing, and scheduling work among subtrades
- QC/QA checks and subtrade supervision
- Material take-offs and ordering/receiving materials
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
- Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
- Allocate general and daily responsibilities
- Supervise and train workers and tradespeople
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
- Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are
- Resolve problems when they arise
- Report on progress to managers
- Assist and mentor staff
- Complete time sheets

- Manual dexterity, mechanically inclined, physically fit
- Proven experience as construction foreman
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OH&S guidelines
- Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
- Aptitude in math
- Problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with safe work procedures, safety regulations, valid first aid ticket an asset
- Computer skills (excel, word, outlook) considered an asset
- High-rise construction experience would be considered an asset
- Fall Protection ticket considered an asset (we can provide)
- WHMIS 2015 required (we can provide)
- Journeyman trade ticket considered an asset (electrician, carpenter, etc.)
