You'll Do:
- Participates in regular safety meetings, with the goal of zero lost-time incidents on site, while contributing to improvements in the safety culture of the division
- Promote and demonstrate a proactive approach to preventative maintenance
- Assist the Reliability Manager with implementing the preventive and predictive maintenance program
- Identifies equipment hazards and potential failures during inspections, and generates the appropriate work request to address concerns in a timely manner
- Analyze downtime reports and equipment history, to identify trends and solutions regarding reoccurring maintenance issues
- Provide key engineering support for various capital, reliability, maintenance, and process improvement projects
- Maintain engineering and maintenance department documentation
- Oversee process equipment to identify failure rates and modes, and create proactive response plans
- Support the predictive condition monitoring programs, including lubrication, vibration, ultrasound, thermography, motor circuit analysis, and non-destructive testing analysis of process equipment
- Contribute to the mill's Root Cause Failure Analysis to manage, reduce, or eliminate failure modes within the process and equipment
- Creates and maintains the life cycles for each process in the mill
- Works with Maintenance Planners/ Area Leaders, as necessary, to develop job scopes for major unique jobs
- Contribute or manage projects from conception to completion including justification, implementation, and analysis
You have:
- 2+ years of maintenance knowledge and experience in reliability, ideally within forestry or an industrial manufacturing environment
- A Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial Engineering is required
- Registration or eligibility to register as an Engineer in Training with APEGA
- Willingness to learn new skills and earn accreditation within various predictive technologies
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), is an asset
- Excellent Communication Skills, including written, oral, and presentation abilities
- Proven ability to take initiative and effectively manage time-changing priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with all levels of the organization
- Ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic, action-oriented team
- Proactive analytical thinker, with a creative approach to problem solving
Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and quick to learn new technologies
