Position Summary:The HR/Payroll Administrator provides day-to-day administrative support to the HR and payroll functions, including generating and running reports, data entry and other Payroll/HR related administrative tasks. The role also provides back-up support to assist with running payroll and completes payroll in the absence of the Payroll and Benefits Specialist.
Responsibilities & Expectations:- Completes all administrative tasks associated with onboarding, job changes, wage changes and offboarding (i.e. HRIS system updates, benefits portal updates, IT updates etc.)
- Looks after getting new employees enrolled into the benefits and pension programs.
- Completes any employee updates required
- Looks after all employee files and ensure files are updated with appropriate documentation as required.
- Completes various WCB reports and documentation as required, as well as any other safety reporting requirements.
- Provides oversight to site security administration, including key management, scan card set-up/access, etc.
- Assists with policy reviews, modifications and training logistics.
- Provides assistance with employee handbook and other HR/Safety documentation updates.
- Updates various HR and safety forms as required for internal use.
- Creates and maintains fillable forms and e-sign forms/packages.
- Maintenance and upkeep of files; both physical and electronic.
- Assists with various implementations and projects, as it relates to improving processes.
- Provides other administrative support as required.
- Minimum of 2+ years of previous administration experience required, with a preference for experience within human resources and/or payroll.
- Previous payroll processing experience is preferred.
- Previous experience working with HRIS systems, with a preference for experience with ADP Workforce Now.
- High level of experience and competency utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite, with focus on excel.
- Related post-secondary education is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
- Proven ability to effectively work with confidential information.
