Lauren Services is a leading engineering firm specializing in innovative solutions for marine and offshore projects, with a focus on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) infrastructure. We are dedicated to delivering excellence in design, engineering, and project management services. Our team of experts is committed to sustainability, safety, and advancing the field of LNG engineering.

We are seeking a highly knowledgeable LNG Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in LNG systems, operations, and relevant regulatory frameworks. This role will be pivotal in guiding our projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving innovation in LNG engineering and operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide expert guidance on LNG engineering principles, practices, and technologies.

· Serve as the primary resource for LNG-related inquiries and project challenges.

· Collaborate with project teams to develop design specifications, assessments, and feasibility studies for LNG projects.

· Evaluate and recommend innovative solutions for LNG infrastructure, including storage, transportation, and regasification systems.

· Ensure compliance with local, national, and international LNG regulations and standards, including but not limited to:

· Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Z662: Oil and Gas Pipeline Systems

· National Energy Board (NEB) regulations

· Canadian Environmental Assessment Act (CEAA)

· API Standards (American Petroleum Institute)

· ISO 16924: Natural Gas — Natural Gas Liquefaction and Gasification Systems

· Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for LNG operations.

· Participate in technical reviews and provide feedback on engineering designs and methodologies related to LNG.

· Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in LNG engineering.

· Conduct training sessions and workshops for internal teams to enhance LNG knowledge and skills.

· Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

· Minimum of 20 years of experience in LNG engineering or a related discipline.

· In-depth knowledge of LNG systems, thermodynamics, and process engineering.

· Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements for the Canadian Oil & Gas industry.

· Proven experience in project management and leading multidisciplinary teams.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to travel as needed for project requirements.
