YW Calgary is dedicated to supporting women and their families through programs and services like shelter, counselling, childcare and much more. Our mission is to prevent, intervene, empower and lead where and when women need us most. At YW we strive to provide an environment where students pursuing a career in the social services can learn, grow, and thrive. We promote a culture of learning and professional development and we aim to support practicum placements wherever possible. YW Calgary works with various organizations and affiliations in coordination of practicum student opportunities.
We appreciate all applications, however there are only a limited number of placements available each year. All applications will be kept on file if there are no current opportunities available or an immediate match cannot be found.
