Job Description

The Shift Engineer has the responsibility of taking complete care and maintenance of all the mechanical equipment in the hotel including high- and low-pressure boilers, guest rooms and equipment related to engineering.

What you will be doing:

  • Attend to all guest issues in 340 guest rooms in the hotel.
  • Support Rooms Maintenance personnel in project works in guest rooms.
  • Take temperature readings of all supply air units, concourse tenant spaces, meeting rooms, restaurants, guest rooms, converters, walk-in freezers and refrigerators Identifying any issues to rectify.
  • Complete walk-throughs in all areas of the hotel to visually inspect, repair and/or report deficiencies.
  • Complete maintenance of all other engineering equipment such as Chiller/Cooling equipment, Boilers, Guarded Status, and the Pool.
Qualifications
  • Must be a holder of a Provincial 5th class power engineering ticket from the Department of Labour.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in a 4th class power plant which includes a high pressure boiler.
  • Working knowledge of a Centrifugal chiller is an asset.
  • Must be willing to learn.
