CNC Machinist / Tool & Die Maker Delta, BC

Our client is a second generation family-run business specializing in lubrication systems for various industries internationally. They are seeking a CNC Machinist / Tool & Die Maker to join their team in Delta, BC. This is a rare opportunity for a Machinist who takes great pride in their work.

Wage: $35 - $45 hourly DOE

Benefits: comprehensive benefit package

Shifts: 4 x 10 or 5 x 8 shift options

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Red Seal certification preferred but equivalent experience will be considered
  • Ability to machine from various materials utilizing conventional and CNC equipment
  • Programming and set up competency
  • Manual machining experience
  • Water Jet CNC experience preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of metal processing techniques (milling and turning).
  • Ability to work within extremely tight tolerances
  • Excellent organization, time-management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Pride of workmanship

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain CNC machine, lathes, grinding machines, tool, and other machinery as required.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study samples parts to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan best sequence of operations.
  • Provide technical leadership and provide solutions and support for process concerns or improvement.
  • Responsible for cost reduction identification and implementation.
