Store Manager Role
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Store Manager is responsible to oversee day-to-day operations of a Hillberg & Berk store and ensure that we are continually delivering an experience that surprises and delights our client at our beautiful new Cornwall location!
Key Responsibilities
- Provide coaching and guidance to direct reports through regular feedback and empowerment logs – providing clear expectations, guidance and feedback
- Lead employees including recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, development planning, scheduling and employee relations
- Oversee achievement of optimal store staffing needs to maximize productivity, store volume, and ensure proper floor coverage
- Execute events and brand initiatives per company directives to grow the client base and build loyalty
- Ensure efficient planning, coordination, follow-through and completion of tasks which contribute to the achievement of store and corporate goals
- Ensures all employees adhere to H&B health and safety policies and recommends other measures that can be taken to provide a safe and healthy workplace for clients and employees
- Communicate client feedback, business trends, and recommendations that may enhance the brand experience and/or improve H&B's community impact
- Ensure stores maintains visual presentation standards and the store is replenished at all times – providing options for sell through
- Manage payroll and all other controllable expenses
- Assess store average sales, items per sale, conversion rates, and implement appropriate action plans
- Lead employee meetings, training sessions and planning sessions as required
Education & Qualifications
Typically requires a minimum of 5-7 years of retail experience including some supervisory or management experience, or combination of experience and some post secondary education or undergraduate degree
Requires practical experience and knowledge in managing retail teams and operational processes
