Finance Manager – Full-Time/Permanent

Are you ready to lead and manage the financial health of a growing, dynamic company? We are seeking a skilled Finance Manager to oversee and optimize our internal financial systems, ensuring strong financial performance and stability. As part of our team, you will work closely with our amazing office staff in Victoria, BC, while playing a pivotal role in shaping the company's future.
With the upcoming retirement of our highly regarded Finance Manager, training will be provided to ensure a seamless transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and enhance financial and accounting policies, systems, and procedures to maximize profitability and efficiency, in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Oversee and manage daily financial and accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and integrity
- Handle all financial data, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, GST, and government remittances
- Manage customer invoicing and payments, and verify vendor invoices
- Maintain confidentiality and organization in all corporate-related filings
- Process payroll
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to facilitate financial matters
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements, cost-benefit analyses, and other financial reports
- Coordinate budgeting and financial planning processes
- Other related duties as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business, or a related field
- CPA designation is preferred
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with accounting/bookkeeping software (we use QuickBooks)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and confident in decision-making
- Strong interpersonal skills to lead and support the team
- Experience with CRM systems like LMN (budgeting, job tracking, time tracking) is an asset
- Prior experience in landscaping, construction, or a related industry is an asset

Wages: $38-$45 per hour.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday 8:00 to 4:30 pm in office.
