In this role, you will manage a small team responsible for end-to-end systems engineering, from pre-silicon activities through to production. You will play a pivotal part in the bring-up of advanced processors through firmware development, while gaining experience with cutting-edge hardware and embedded system design. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on technical leader with a passion for driving innovation in a rapidly growing field.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team to deliver world-class, open-source firmware solutions.
- Oversee processor, board, and system bring-up and validation.
- Collaborate with the hardware design team for pre-silicon validation and deliverables.
- Design, develop, and maintain system firmware for embedded devices and systems.
- Develop system-level APIs and firmware functionality to meet product requirements.
- Innovate on test infrastructure to reduce testing time and improve efficiency.
- Build out CI/CD pipelines to ensure high-quality firmware deliverables.
- Architect and develop frameworks for automating verification, data analysis, and debugging.
- Manage debugging activities across all phases of product development.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 15+ years of experience.
- 8+ years of leadership experience in a high-tech engineering environment.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python.
- Deep understanding of computer architecture and embedded systems design.
- Experience with scripting, test automation, and debugging tools.
- Familiarity with circuit design, power regulation, and signal propagation.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
- Passion for AI and machine learning.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally to resolve issues.
