POSITION FUNCTION:

As the Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the Manager in overseeing the development and delivery of our WorkBC Programs. With a focus on quality assurance and staff supervision, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including community partners, agencies, and funders, to ensure the successful delivery of employment services to our clients and the achievement of our contractual outcomes. Your expertise in program coordination and partnership management will be essential in driving our success and helping us make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Case Management Strategy and Implementation

  • Collaborate with the manager to develop and implement effective case management strategies, action plans, and procedures aligned with the WorkBC Program objectives.
  • Review documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards and program requirements.
  • Apply industry standards, best practices, and CARF standards in the design and delivery of case management services.
  • Actively participate in the evaluation of the case management program, developing and implementing assessments of case management components.
  • Provide recommendations for revisions to enhance the case management model and overall outcomes.
  • Handle complex client cases, ensuring effective case resolution and maintaining positive client relationships.

Team Leadership and Supervision

  • Supervise a team of employment counselors to ensure the successful delivery of case management services.
  • Monitor progress against case management outcomes, emphasizing the achievement of quality standards.
  • Work closely with the Manager and Training Coordinators to train, and evaluate employment counselors, focusing on enhancing the team's overall quality.
  • Ensure the team receives necessary support for their roles and responsibilities.
  • Provide constructive individual and team feedback and coaching to enhance performance, address challenges, and capitalize on strengths.
  • Ensure staff comprehension and adherence to case management policies and procedures, maintaining high standards in service delivery.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Take the lead in fostering collaboration among employment counselors, encouraging active participation and support across various clients' and centers' initiatives to cultivate a culture of teamwork and shared responsibility.
  • Provide coverage and support to clients as needed, ensuring their case management needs are met in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address systemic issues and contribute to ongoing improvements in case management service delivery.

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain a robust understanding of industry standards, best practices, and CARF standards in case management.
  • Review documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards and program requirements.
  • Actively participate in the evaluation of the case management program, developing and implementing assessments of case management components.
  • Provide recommendations for revisions to enhance the case management model and overall outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A post-secondary degree, certificate, or diploma in a relevant field (human resources management, career development, counselling, social work, psychology, adult education), or completion of course work in related fields, or two or more years of demonstrated experience in:
    • Supervisory role.
    • interpreting and implementing policies and procedures within the WorkBC employment services context.
    • Working with immigrant populations and people from diverse backgrounds.
    • Building partnerships with employers, community agencies and other stakeholders.
  • 3-5 years of Employment Counsellor experience within WorkBC program.
  • Strong English communication skills both verbal and written, other language skills are an asset.
  • Career Development Practitioner designation is an asset.
  • Required current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Technical skills with proficiency in ICM and MS Office 365.
  • Cultural sensitivity.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Organized, able to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge and experience in the delivery of employment and job search strategies and or programming.
  • Good working knowledge of existing programs and services, community resources, and local labour market conditions.

HOURS:

This is a full-time permanent position of 35 hours per week.

The successful candidate must be able to commute to our Vancouver Northeast location at 312-2555 Commercial Dr. Vancouver, British Columbia V5N 4C1.

COMPENSATION:

$33.63 - $34.09 Per Hour

BENEFITS:

A competitive benefits package is provided with contracts of at least 1 year in length and which offer a minimum of 17.5 hours of work per week.
