We're on the hunt for an Operations and Logistics Manager to lead the charge at our Edmonton facility! You'll be the go-to person for making sure everything flows seamlessly – whether it's goods, services, or materials. You'll be taking on the shipping, receiving, and inventory game with a sharp eye for efficiency, accuracy, and the “aha!” moments of improvement.

Plus, you'll be managing key relationships with couriers and suppliers, making sure everything arrives on time (and on budget, of course!). And guess what? You won't be doing it alone – you'll be leading a team of five awesome team members: the Shipper, Receiver, two Equipment Service Coordinators, and the Logistics and Operations Coordinator. With a keen eye for detail and an inventive mind, you'll be a great fit for this role at BHD.

Who You Are:

You are an experienced Operations and Logistics Manager with a proven track record in overseeing shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes. With strong leadership skills and a background in optimizing operational strategies, you excel in managing teams, improving processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise extends to supplier and courier management, warehouse optimization, and financial oversight, making you adept at reducing costs and increasing efficiency. You are a collaborative leader who works closely with cross-departmental teams to align operations with overall business objectives.

What You Will Do:

· Oversee the daily operations of logistics, shipping, and inventory management, ensuring timely and accurate shipments while developing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.

· Manage inventory control through regular audits and cycle counts and optimize warehouse space to improve storage solutions.

· Lead and mentor a team of five, providing direction, training, and performance management to maintain high standards.

· Ensure that customer equipment for calibration and service is handled efficiently and with care, managing the equipment service team.

· Identify and implement operational movements, establish KPI's, and streamline processes to enhance overall efficiency and reduce costs.

· Build strong relationships with suppliers and couriers, negotiating contracts to optimize costs and service levels.

· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards in the warehouse, conduct safety audits and implement safety measures.

· Assist in developing and managing the operations budget, working with senior management to identify cost-saving opportunities.

· Collaborate with departments like Sales, Rentals, and Calibrations to align logistics operations with business goals and work with finance, procurement, and HR to ensure efficient resource allocation and staffing.
