About the role

We're seeking a visionary and passionate Quality Assurance Engineering Lead to spearhead a transformation in how we approach quality and automation within our Engineering team. This isn't just about finding bugs; it's about building a culture of quality, where innovation and continuous improvement are woven into the fabric of our development process.


What you'll do

  • Mentor and guide a team of talented SDETs, fostering their growth, and empowering them to build robust automation skills.
  • Develop and implement cutting-edge automation strategies and practices, championing efficiency, scalability, and reliability in our testing processes. Continuously improve our automation systems to ensure they are robust and adaptable to evolving needs. Hold Engineering accountable for the quality of their work.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Management, and Design, to ensure comprehensive QA coverage throughout the software development lifecycle. Provide valuable feedback on quality issues and advocate for quality-driven development practices.
  • Set clear priorities for your team, remove roadblocks, and provide the support they need to deliver high-quality releases on time. Cultivate a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
  • Build and implement metrics to effectively measure product performance and monitor quality throughout the development lifecycle. Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead customer engagement activities, defining how the engineering and quality teams monitor, respond to, and address customer feedback. Ensure that customer perspectives are central to our quality initiatives.


What you need

  • 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including leading and mentoring high-performing QA teams and driving quality initiatives within an Agile environment.
  • Expertise in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript / TypeScript, E2E frameworks, GitHub etc), with a passion for exploring and implementing new technologies to enhance automation capabilities.
  • Expertise in building comprehensive test automation solutions for web applications, covering both front-end and back-end components, and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative quality and automation strategies that align with business goals and product roadmaps.
  • Strong knowledge of various testing methodologies, including regression, acceptance, performance, security, and usability testing, with a proven ability to analyze complex quality issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in test management tools like XRay or similar, with extensive experience in test planning and strategy for both manual and automated testing.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical information to diverse audiences and influence stakeholders across different teams.
  • BS/MS degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with cross-functional and global teams.
