About the Opportunity

The Integrated Development team is looking to hire a focused & organized Coordinator, Community Mobilization to help support a high performing team with the mandate of cultivating and stewarding relationships by mobilizing community members and organizations to engage in large scale and smaller, strategic initiatives. The mobilization team will focus on three main areas;

    1. Mobilizing the community in times of celebration and crisis. This kind of mass mobilization often includes rallies, the Walk with Israel, and many other key community events.
    2. Partnering, supporting and empowering grassroots leaders and organizations as they work toward addressing large challenges being faced by the Jewish community.
    3. Mobilizing community members to engage with strategic programs and initiatives, developed by the mobilization team, or by other teams within UJA. These initiatives would allow individuals to get involved with “hands on opportunities” to make an impact on community priorities (e.g. fighting antisemitism, helping vulnerable members of our community, etc.).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support for the Community Mobilization team, including managing the team's schedule and calendar.
  • Handle administrative issues and inquiries as appropriate.
  • Handle some management and communication with volunteer and partner agency teams.
  • Provide project coordination for key initiatives of the Community Mobilization team, ensuring projects are tracked and issues are flagged as they arise.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders of the community, including donors, volunteers and community agencies, as needed, ensuring inquiries are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Utilize Salesforce and computer databases to gather, analyze and maintain data and run reports.
  • Work with Marketing teams to manage all materials required for fundraisers, donors, events and direct marketing.
  • Event management and coordination, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Experience creating systems and general administrative management
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills – ability to work independently to meet timelines and priorities
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Strong organization skills and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task effectively, handling many responsibilities at the same time
  • Excellent computer software skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook) and an aptitude to learn new software and database programs
  • Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, innovation and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work some nights and/or weekends
  • Experience in Salesforce (or another CRM) considered an asset, but not required.

* This is a full-time permanent position, Union Level 2. At UJA we support a flexible work schedule and all of our employees engage in hybrid work.
