The Opportunity
Pomerleau is seeking an experienced Marine Works Field Engineer to join our Major Projects team. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the construction and installation of marine structures for our major projects.
What You Will Do
- Oversee and guide the installation of marine structures, including special formwork, pile-driving jigs, platforms, temporary walkways and bridges, steel structures, cofferdams, and temporary supports.
- Collaborate on preparing general methods and work sequences to support efficient project execution.
- Participate in all phases of the project's life cycle, from estimation to delivery, with a focus on on-site implementation.
- Participate in risk mitigation planning and implementation for construction activities.
- Analyze project plans and specifications for permanent structures, identifying potential challenges and opportunities in the field.
- Provide expert guidance to construction crews during proposal, estimating, and installation phases.
What YOU Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in marine construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of marine construction methods, techniques, and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to devise innovative solutions in the field.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse project teams.
The expected salary range for this opportunity is $108,000 - $146,000. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate's experience and geographical location. Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program which is listed above. Availability of certain benefits may vary based on the specific job role.
