Salary: $44.05 - $52.82 per hour (BCGEU 16-P-PT grid)

Job Summary: The PT plans, develops, implements and evaluates physical therapy programs and services including specialized treatment when required: establishes and evaluates physical therapy practice standards; communicates client and program needs; carries out associated administrative duties; oversees the implementation of components

of the physical therapy care plans and activity programs by the caregiver, child care provider, or volunteer; provides consultative and educational services to professionals, agencies and the general public. This position reports to the Program Director of Sundrops Centre for Child Development (CARF accredited agency).

Education, Training and Experience

  • Baccalaureate degree Physical Therapy from an accredited university program
  • Registration in good standing with the College of Physical Therapist of British Columbia, and eligibility to register with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
  • Several years' experience in a clinical setting as a physical therapist; prefer experience working with pediatrics clients with complex medical conditions

Qualifications: Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledgeable about the principles of family centered practice
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Experience with a data management system (preferably NucleusLabs)
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team whose members have diverse backgrounds

Please Note:

  • The successful candidate will begin employment at the Clements Building, 3 Days per week TBD, 8:30-16:00
  • This position will require a valid B.C. Driver's License and use of personal vehicle for transportation
  • This position is open to all qualified individuals and requires Union membership
