Plasman Windsor 1 Manufacturing is currently seeking a strong team player to join our Advanced Quality Team in the capacity of:
ADVANCED QUALITY ENGINEER
The AQE is responsible for managing, coordinating and assisting in the activities of the process relating to PPAP and NMR's at Plasman Windsor 1 Mfg. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with above average communication and organization skills. The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Part requirement clarification (appearance, paint zones, fit to vehicle, performance, etc.)
- Incorporation of lessons learned into documentation and data base as necessary
- Assist in Operator training plans
- Attend Feasibility Reviews to assist in identifying risks in the design process utilizing the Lessons Learned Database (LLDB)
- Ensure all master timeline milestones are communicated and met relating to New Model Quality activities
- Participate in tool tryouts and part analysis/ improvement activities
- Identify key Customer contacts to establish strong relationships and effective communication
- Development of documentation to support the Control Plan including check sheets, test procedures, data record sheets, etc. as/when necessary
- Submit/Coordinate sample parts for appearance, DVP&R, NMRs, AAR, etc. as needed
- Development of launch instructions and inspector training for New Model build event parts
- Development and communication of master and boundary samples as needed
- Conduct/coordinate/analyze all data collection related to the PPAP and NMR's of new/revised products. (e.g., Capability Studies, Part Dimensional Data, Gage R&R, etc.). When unacceptable conditions result, coordinate countermeasures
- Participate in all New Model readiness reviews with Customers as support to Program Managers, as required
Education & Experience Requirements
- Must possess a secondary diploma or equivalent, preference given to candidates with a degree/diploma in Engineering or Quality.
- Preference given to those with Quality Core Tool training and/ or Quality accreditations (e.g. ASQ CQE/CQM, ISO, AIAG, etc)
- Preference given to those with a solid knowledge of the injection molding and paint process
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in automotive Engineering or Quality.
- Experience in Customer OEM PPAP requirements.
