To support operational growth Forbes Bros Ltd. is currently looking for a self-directed, client focused, Advisor, Talent Acquisition & Global Mobility (TA&GM) to join our team! The Advisor, TA&GM is responsible for international, high volume, full cycle recruiting for Forbes Bros Group of Companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers to proactively identify future hiring needs, determine specific job requirements, staffing needs and other key information before recruiting.
  • Identify and implement successful recruiting strategies based on role, industry standards and needs of the organization.
  • Actively engage and network with external parties including industry peers, agencies, employee referrals as well as passive external candidates to ensure we have a robust pipeline of future talent to draw from
  • Assess opportunities for better practices, processes and recommend solutions for all recruitment and global mobility related operations.
  • Manage the full life cycle of employees Visas applications from pre-visa to expiration
  • Ensure Global Mobility services are delivered with exceptional customer service and employee experience within anticipated timelines.
  • Collaborate with Managers and Field Advisors to create and facilitate annual training workshops.
  • Develop and manage business relationships with division leaders and operations supervisors.
  • Facilitate employee surveys and action planning with Hiring Managers to target improved recruitment and onboarding processes.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Minimum 2+ years of full cycle, high volume Talent Acquisition and/or Global Mobility experience is required
  • Post-secondary undergraduate degree or diploma with a specialization in Human Resources Management, is preferred
  • Professional credential (e.g. SHRM, CPHR), an asset
  • 1-2 years' experience in construction or related industry with Canadian and US Portfolios is preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of Technical Trades and Apprenticeship Programs, an asset
  • Union or CBA experience an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook required
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
