Corporate Law Clerk
Job description
Our client is a busy boutique firm in Etobicoke is seeking an intermediate/senior full-time corporate law clerk with at least 5 years of experience to join our thriving corporate and commercial practice.
Your new role
In this role, you will handle annual proceedings, resolutions, and corporation tracking, including provincial and federal common share incorporations and organizations. Responsibilities also include general corporate maintenance (such as director, officer, shareholder, and accountant changes), name changes, annual minute book maintenance and filings, and due diligence reviews on minute books with preparation of related rectification documents. Additionally, you will communicate with clients and initiate follow-ups as needed.
What you will need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have at least 5 years of corporate law experience at a top-tier law firm. A combination of private practice and relevant in-house corporate experience will also be considered. You should demonstrate professionalism and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels. Experience working with corporate databases and corporate searching knowledge will be highly advantageous.
