We are currently looking for the right candidate to join growing team in support of our Facilities Maintenance Department.

Position Title: Equipment Operator

Location: Cenovus - Narrows Lake

Schedule: 8 days on / 6 days off

Hours of Work: 12 hours daily

Accommodations: Camp Provided

Travel: Flights from Edmonton or Calgary to site

Certifications Required: Class 5 Driver's License, Grader Operator Certification / Loader Operator Certification / Skid Steer Operator Certification

Safety Clearances Required: Must pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing / Must pass pre-access fitness-for-work medical testing

Safety Tickets Required: H2S Alive / CSTS 2020 / WHMIS / TDG / Fall Protection / Elevated Work Platform (EWP) / Confined Space Monitor

Position Scope Specific Responsibilities:

1. Operate equipment and perform labor duties for snow and ice control, dust control, erosion control, roadside maintenance, road surface maintenance, and various other lease maintenance services.

2, Ensure maintenance facilities are well maintained and properly stocked with maintenance supplies and equipment supplies.

3. Operate heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner, maintaining proper awareness of surroundings while operating the grader, loader, skid steer, water truck, and sanding unit.

4. Ensure “pre-trips” and Equipment Checklists are completed daily and any equipment concerns are addressed.

5. Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure operational safety and performance.

6. Collaborate with the project team to execute earthworks projects according to plan, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

7. Follow safety guidelines, approved processes and procedures on the job site.

8. Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to minimize disruptions and maximize productivity.

9. Work cohesively with teams of employees or contractors.

10. Communicate in a polite and courteous manner.
