Working with Project Managers on site, the project coordinator supports the planning, scheduling, execution and completion of projects. They work collaboratively with other teams, in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. To be successful, the candidate needs to have strong communication skills, be self-motivated and detailed oriented.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Help develop project plans, and schedules, and identify milestones alongside the project manager and other team members.
-Ensure necessary equipment, materials and personnel are on site as per the project schedule.
-Act as the main point of contact and coordinate communications for the various departments and teams working on the project.
-Provide project manager and stakeholders with regular updates on the project status including project schedule and budget.
-Maintain project records and prepare reports as required.

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining or construction industries.
- Degree in engineering.
- PMP certification is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Suite, MS Project, P6.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Detail oriented.
