Salary: $115,000 - $125,000 / year

OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Vice President of Product & Delivery, the Technical Project Manager will be responsible for creating and managing release milestones for multiple development teams, facilitating Agile Scrum practices within the team, and ensuring smooth and efficient sprint cycles. The Technical Project Manager will collaborate with a broad range of internal teams, including Development, Product, Support, and QA, to ensure our teams work effectively to hit key milestones.

This position will be based in the Toronto office following our Hybrid Policy.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  1. Release Management
  • Partner with the Product Manager and Development Manager to plan release milestones, including development sprints and regression testing cycle, for main releases and hotfixes;
  • Monitor progress of main and hotfix releases, ensuring they meet established milestones;
  • Collaborate with the Technical Coordinator to establish production deployment schedule, ensuring on-time releases;
  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders on the status of releases, potential risks, and any necessary adjustments.
  1. Scrum Management
  • Coordinate multiple agile product development teams, facilitating Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews;
  • Foster a collaborative environment; coach and train teams in Agile principles and practices;
  • Monitor and measure team velocity, ensuring sprints are planned accurately and sprint goals are achieved; Identify and address obstacles or issues that impact productivity;
  • Provide regular sprint metrics reports, highlighting team performance, progress toward goals, and areas for improvement.
  1. Product Feedback and Influence
  • Collaborate with the Client Support Manager to allocate client issues into active sprints or sprint backlogs, prioritizing tasks based on impact and urgency;
  • Allocate development and QA resources accordingly to work issues in alignment with SLA and priority;
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders on the status of on-going incidents and provide visibility to progress using Jira.

  • Problem Solving – Distinguishes between symptoms and causes. Able to see multiple parts and the relationships in order to identify and resolve the root issue; generates alternative solutions.

Experience/Knowledge:

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, Scrum Master, Delivery Manager or similar role, in a SaaS environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate across multiple teams.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana) and SDLC.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification preferred.
