Job Title: Senior High-Rise Estimator
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior High-Rise Estimator to lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for high-rise residential projects. This role requires a deep understanding of high-rise construction processes, materials, and labor costs, as well as the ability to manage complex bids for large-scale developments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the high-rise residential sector, working closely with project teams to ensure accurate, competitive, and timely estimates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for high-rise residential projects, including materials, labor, and subcontractor costs.
- Review architectural plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure all elements of the project are accurately captured in the estimate.
- Perform quantity take-offs for key construction elements such as foundations, structures, and building systems.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather competitive pricing and evaluate proposals.
- Maintain and update cost databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date pricing for materials and labor.
- Prepare bid proposals and tender submissions, ensuring estimates align with project timelines and budgets.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure estimates are in line with project objectives.
- Analyze and assess project risks and provide recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor and review project costs during the construction phase, ensuring alignment with the original estimates.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in estimating, specifically in high-rise residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, techniques, and high-rise building systems.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and subcontractors.
- A diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
