Landscape Junior Technician (Maintenance team)

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Landscape Junior Technician to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will work closely with our experienced landscapers to help maintain and care for properties by performing tasks such as mowing, using blowers, pruning, and general property upkeep. Your contributions will ensure that our clients' outdoor spaces remain pristine and well-maintained throughout the year

Responsibilities:

• Lawn care, weeding, pruning of plant material, garden clean up, etc.
• Learn and develop skills in landscape (plant identification, aesthetics, seasonal plant health and care.
  
• Assist different landscaping project and divisions.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Perform seasonal winter work on anti ice and snow removal as required.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in landscaping is a plus but not required.
• Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform outdoor labor. (Ability to stand, walk, bend and stoop for extended period in a fast – paced environment with repetitive tasks)
  
• Enthusiasm for working in an outdoor environment.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Drivers License Class 5 is an asset

Salary: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday 7:30 to 4pm

Work Location: Different Greater Victoria work sites.
