TWD is currently looking for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer. This position is based in Sarnia, ON.
Job Responsibilities:
• Interface with client stakeholders and contractors to plan, specify and design upgrades and additions to process equipment and piping systems
• Perform site visits to develop and maintain positive client relationships
• Review and approve piping drawings and other associated documents.
• Review, select and approve mechanical specifications for processing equipment, pressure vessels, piping systems, components, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, storage tanks and other equipment.
• Responsible for the timely completion of projects; use engineering knowledge in the planning and executing of assignments
• Ensure all code requirements are met
• General support to the Mechanical Engineering discipline at TWD
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution
• Experience in oil & gas industry
• Experience in Fixed Equipment.
• Experience in Static Equipment.
• Familiar with Pressure vessel, heat exchangers, storage tank design ASME Sec. VIII, div. 1
• Familiar with piping design per ASME B31.3
• Familiar with API standards
• Familiar with pumps and compressors.
• 2-5 years of experience in related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Project)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, and experience in a client facing role is strongly preferred
• On-site refinery experience preferred
• Experience leading small projects would be an asset
• Experience with Pipe Stress Analysis (CAESAR II) would be an asset
• Refinery and Oil and Gas experience preferred
