Human Resources Manager
Position Overview:
Lambert Nemec Group, Winnipeg's premier Permanent Recruitment firm, is collaborating with our client to hire a Human Resources Manager. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes, ensuring business success through strategic HR management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate HR policies in alignment with national directives and provincial legislation.
- Demonstrated success managing HR functions within unionized workplaces, including navigating collective agreements and resolving labour relations issues.
- Lead talent acquisition processes, managing recruitment and onboarding best practices.
- Manage attendance and performance management.
- Oversee escalated workplace investigations and represent the organization at hearings.
- Mentor and develop a small team of direct reports.
- Knowledgeable about current immigration, work permits, and licensing standards
- Implement employee culture training, leadership development, and succession planning.
- Collaborate with leadership to implement HR metrics and ensure operational alignment.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administrator or related field
- 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and strategic thinking skills.
- Direct report experience
- Ability to manage remote teams and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of provincial employment law and HR practices.
