We are excited to grow our team with a full-time role for a Senior Project Manager.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Project Manager to join our Professional Services team. Reporting to the Manager of Professional Services, you will be primarily responsible for managing and delivering implementation projects with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams to implement and enhance ISV products for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, ensuring project governance and alignment with business goals.
You will work closely with the Manager and Lead of Professional Services to strategize, prioritize, and plan service delivery activities. This position involves communicating and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project execution. As a client-facing Software Project Manager, you will contribute to the ongoing business operations of the company by effectively providing management and leadership to deliver successful project outcomes.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer management skills and technical expertise in overseeing impactful projects with large enterprise clients. You should be skilled in managing diverse stakeholders, adapting communication styles, and fostering positive outcomes in various situations. The ability to build and maintain strong client relationships is crucial to support successful project delivery and business objectives.
As a Senior Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Project Governance:
- Ensure Binary Stream's project governance framework is applied, and documentation is maintained, published, and stored according to standards.
- Ensure adherence to Binary Stream Implementation Methodology, producing deliverables to standards and on schedule.
- Review key deliverables to keep scope, budget, and contractual terms aligned.
- Provide input to refine Project Governance, Implementation Methodology, contracts, and templates.
Client Management:
- Proactively manage high-level client expectations, including those from demanding customers, by establishing clear communication channels, setting realistic goals, and providing regular updates.
- Work with client project managers and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
- Serve as the communications hub for projects, delivering timely and effective executive-level communication.
- Provide project updates on strategy, adjustments, and progress to various stakeholders.
Team Leadership:
- Drive a team of consultants to implement software solutions and deliver project scope on schedule and on budget.
- Track project costs to ensure they meet budget and are responsible for financial performance.
- Identify and assess risks, escalate issues when necessary, and implement resolution strategies.
- Provide Project Management for internal company projects.
Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor project progress and adjust as needed.
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project execution.
Collaboration & Mentorship:
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with key Binary Stream partners to promote collaboration and deliver value.
- Mentor colleagues and provide guidance and support to enhance team development.
Technical Skills:
- Proven ability to manage budgets, risks, resources, scope, issues, changes, and quality.
- Experience with DevOps and MS Project.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with clients and colleagues.
- Exceptional presentation skills for internal and external purposes.
- Proficiency in project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience managing projects through the full life cycle.
- Track record of completing projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of project management experience, including system implementation for enterprise clients, with specific expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations /AX, SAP, or Oracle.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field.
- PMP Certification or equivalent experience
- Sure Step experience is an asset.
- Dynamics F&O Certifications are assets.
Compensation and Benefits Package:
At Binary Stream, we know compensation is important to our people. To stay competitive with our pay and benefits, annually we collect and analyze industry benchmarking data from the technology sector across Canada. This data is used to regularly update our salary ranges.
Compensation Range: 111,800 – 167,000 CAD
Pay Range Insights: This range signifies the minimum and maximum compensation for this role. The pay we offer a successful candidate will be determined by factors including the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and experience. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be based on their knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience, and will fall within this specified range.
