Job Description

The Business Development Representative will primarily be responsible for generating new business opportunities for the company through networking, relationship-building, and problem-solving. This role is critical for achieving sales objectives and driving new revenue into the organization. It is strictly focused on new business generation; therefore, we are seeking a HUNTER with a strong passion and persistence to overcome challenges in a fast-paced and highly regulated industry.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and implement the strategy for the entire sales cycle to secure new business.
  • Leverage available market data and analysis to identify potential sales opportunities and promote new ideas for enhancing service offerings based on assessments of clients' current service models and the company's products/services.
  • Maintain a high level of targeted outbound activity to build and sustain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Generate and qualify leads by conducting research on potential customers who would benefit from and find value in our solutions.
  • Deliver online presentations and product demos tailored to client needs.
  • Manage and document all interactions with potential customers and leads using our CRM tool, providing status updates as needed or requested.
  • Become an expert on the company's products, value proposition, and market positioning.
  • Stay informed about market conditions, competitive activities, and industry trends.
  • Attend trade shows and other networking events to foster relationships and identify opportunities.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as required.
Qualifications

Education & Training

  • Minimum of College Diploma in Sales, Business, Marketing or related discipline

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years in enterprise-level sales (hunting) experience
  • B2B Sales experience (ideally in a service/software industry)
  • Previous experience with longer sales cycles, solution selling, and relationship selling

Skills and Aptitudes

  • Ability to relate to individuals across a wide range of positions from staff to C-level
  • Strong computer literacy and skills for navigating websites and web-based products/solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, particularly on the telephone or online
  • Superb organizational and prioritization skills
  • Effective team player with a strong work ethic
  • Quick learner with strong self-motivation and drive for success
  • Ability to develop strong operational knowledge of products sufficient to understand a full spectrum of client issues and offer reasonable and workable solutions
  • Aviation experience/knowledge a plus, as is fluency in other languages

Environment and Physical

  • Must reside in Ontario, Canada.
  • Must be able to work remotely and on-site upon request.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Be able to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Be able to travel to domestic and global locations for tradeshows and/or client visits (background check may be required).
