At Uncanny Owl, we help small businesses build world-class elearning and automation solutions with WordPress.

Over 80,000 websites already use our products to deliver great elearning and no-code automations. But so many more could benefit – if they only knew what our plugins can do.

As Growth Manager, your responsibility is to develop and execute strategies to raise awareness, educate visitors and increase adoption of Uncanny Owl products across all channels including search, social, email, partnerships and affiliates. You will work closely with the founders to build highly optimized websites, targeted email campaigns and mutually beneficial partnerships to attract, educate and convert WordPress users into Uncanny Owl subscribers and customers.

To be considered for this position, you must have significant expertise with WordPress and growing a B2B software brand.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Creating an overall growth plan that identifies and prioritizes growth opportunities based on impact, effort, and alignment with business goals.
  • Researching, developing and executing an SEO strategy that includes on-page optimization, link building and programmatic SEO.
  • Building, measuring and optimizing conversion funnels, A/B testing.
  • Building a partner network for Uncanny Automator by reaching out to integration partners and exploring and executing mutually beneficial opportunities.
  • Leveling up our social media presence through regular updates and engagement.
  • Expanding our affiliate network with regular outreach and targeted promotions.
  • Building a team over time as usage of our products grows.
  • Measuring and reporting on the results and learnings of growth initiatives.
  • Communicating regularly with the team using online chat, video and audio channels.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in growth marketing, digital marketing or a related field
  • Proven track record of driving growth for a B2B software brand across multiple channels
  • Proven ability to establish and grow multiple business partnerships
  • A high level of proficiency in SEO tools such as SEMRush/Ahrefs/Moz and Google Analytics
  • A strong understanding of the WordPress ecosystem and how Uncanny Owl plugins fit into it
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong references from verifiable sources

Bonus points if you have experience with any of our plugins, LearnDash or integration tools (e.g. Zapier, Integromat, IFTTT, etc.).

This job is a full time (35 hour weekly) position. While hours are somewhat flexible, most should be worked when the rest of our team is online (between 9 AM and 4 PM Eastern Time).

Our team is based in Toronto but everyone works remotely. Candidates in Canada are preferred, but we are happy to consider people in other locations with the right skill set.
