Job Purpose:

Our client seeking a dedicated Project Manager to drive revenue and profit growth through full cycle project management. In this role, you will lead commercial projects from implementation to completion, ensuring they are executed safely, on time, and within budget. Your contribution is vital to our organizations success, and you will collaborate closely with project teams and stakeholders while maintaining excellent relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure projects are completed on or ahead of schedule and remain profitable.
  • Organize daily operations, prepare construction schedules, and monitor project progress.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
  • Prepare job cost estimates and accurate forecasting reports.
  • Oversee subcontractors and suppliers effectively.
  • Manage project budgets, contracts, change orders, and RFIs.
  • Process progress billings and oversee change management.
  • Lead procurement processes and manage project documentation through Procore.
  • Review plans for constructability and communicate challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, trade contractors, and suppliers.
  • Interpret and manage contractual obligations.
  • Conduct meetings to address progress, obstacles, and solutions.
  • Implement quality control policies and procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Finalize project closeout and conduct post-project reviews with stakeholders.
  • Monitor cash allowances and contingencies.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven Project Management experience in the commercial construction industry, with a track record of profitable results.
  • Experience managing projects in the $1-5M range.
  • Interest in working on projects smaller than $5M or managing multiple smaller projects.
  • Desire to mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and on-site implementation.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting contracts.
  • Exceptional computer skills with expertise in scheduling, planning, and cost control software.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline.
