JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Director, IT Operations, the Manager, IT Infrastructure is responsible for ensuring that the IT infrastructure capacity and performance meet existing and future requirements. This includes managing on-premises and cloud computer systems infrastructure, security, and networks. The Manager is also responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving the Enterprise IT infrastructure.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the management of cloud and on-premises computer systems infrastructure and networks.
• Lead the implementation of new technology and maintenance of existing technology.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues with various network hardware, including firewall, switches, APs, firewalls, routers, and servers.
• Design, deploy, and maintain complex network architectures including LAN, WAN, and VPN.
• Ensure smooth operations of complex server backups and monitoring software, oversee the IT Disaster Recovery plan, and manage and test the IT Disaster Recovery strategy.
• Provide advanced technical support and problem-solving, specifically with Windows Server, Active Directory, GPOs, Firewalls, VLAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Azure, RDS.
• Manage upgrading and tuning servers, VMs, routers, firewalls, switches, and cloud infrastructure as needed.
• Manage Mevotech's on-premises and cloud ie. Azure, environments, and oversee the migration of workloads between the two environments.
• Supervise direct reports, including assigning and directing work, monitoring workloads and performance, and ensuring productivity and work quality.
• Provide feedback and coaching, conduct performance evaluations, and identify training and development opportunities for direct reports.
• Ensure the criticality of IT operations in a 24/7 environment is maintained while introducing innovative solutions to enhance platform stability, performance, and scalability.
• Ensure that the infrastructure is properly documented.
• Collaborate with department stakeholders to assess technology support needs, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and manage system access, upgrades, and installations
• Responding and assigning tickets for infrastructure-related incidents, making sure all are dealt with in accordance with SLA requirements
• Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of proven experience in IT Infrastructure services with previous people management experience as a supervisor responsible for technically skilled Infrastructure experts.
• Expertise and experience with communication system components including wide and local area networks, MPLS, IP addressing, and Wi-Fi technologies, VLANS, routing, OSPF, firewall configurations (FortiGate is preferred) and other infrastructure components.
• Understand backup and restoration, high availability and disaster recovery technology and procedures
• Strong IP sub-netting and IP management skills and thorough knowledge of public/private IP addressing management and network address translation.
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Technical certifications are a plus (CCNA, Fortinet NSE, MCSE, PMP, ITIL, etc.)
