Risk and Insurance Analyst
The Role:
We are looking for Risk Analysts to join our Lender Insurance Services and our Risk and Insurance Services teams in Toronto, Canada. The Risk Analysts will serve as a key support in the provision of outsourced insurance and risk management services to clients in North America and Europe.
As part of the Lender Insurance Services division, the Risk Analyst will be part of a team that provides industry leading insurance advisory services tailored to meet the unique needs of mortgage lenders. From pre-closing through the life of the loan, INTECH Consultants continually ensure our clients' financial interests are protected so they can confidently focus on their core business objectives.
The Risk Analyst for the Risk and Insurance Services team will join a team of consultants who provide expert risk management advisory services to a wide range of companies and industries, covering all classes of risk. As outsourced risk managers, this team uncovers potential risk exposures and advises clients on the most cost-effective and appropriate course of action to support the organization's overall business strategy.
Role Responsibilities
- Entry Level in commercial insurance and/or consulting.
- Act as administrative support to INTECH Consultants involved in commercial real estate development/commercial lending industries.
- Liase with Lenders, Borrowers/Asset Owners/Asset Managers, Developers, Insurance Brokers, and Lawyers to collect all necessary to conduct insurance review.
- Able to identify, analyze, and comprehend insurance issues and make recommendations to consultants.
- Provide analysis and ad-hoc reporting support to management as requested.
- Manage team's workloads by keeping track of all assignments and incoming deals, as needed.
- Able to manage own time and be thorough enough to ensure accurate filing system is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure all closing file data is completed and communicated to the team, in a timely manner.
- Ensure all invoicing data is accurate and up to date, prior to invoice issuance.
- Support the broader initiatives of the team, as needed.
- Recommend and implement approved enhancements to systems procedural or administrative processes.
- Ensure all regulatory requirements are met and comply with all internal policies and procedures.
- Respect and protect client information by adhering to stringent privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Maintain proactive working relationships with external parties by anticipating their needs and responding to questions and issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain strict confidentiality with external parties at all times.
- Able to respond to sense of urgency and competing priorities.
- Proactive and takes initiative – anticipates client needs regarding data, reporting and meeting deadlines.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to grow within the role and learn the knowledge of commercial property and casualty related insurance, including business interruption, builders' risk and wrap-up liability is considered an asset.
- General understanding of the insurance market, trends, and emerging risks.
- Microsoft Product knowledge or willingness to learn various platforms across company.
Qualifications:
- University or collage degree
- 1-3 years experience in the insurance industry is considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
- Working Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal regulations and practices as they relate to lending, insurance, and securitization.
- Customer service experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written English.
- Working in an office environment considered an asset.
