We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, accounting software, and account reconciliation. Reporting to the CEO, this individual's key responsibilities will include:

• Using the highest standards and practices to ensure financial documents comply with regulatory and financial reporting requirements
• Collecting and verifying financial information
• Reviewing general ledger transactions
• Preparing financial statements, producing and reviewing financial reporting for accuracy
• Collaborate with executive team to develop financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives
• Manage day-to-day financial operations, financial forecasting and financial reporting
• Processing of GST/HST/QST filings

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 5 + years' experience in an accounting or finance role
• CPA certification required
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to present complex financial information in an understandable manner
• Strong attention to details and accuracy
• Able to identify problems and find a resolution
• Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
• Proficiency in Excel
• Self-motivated to work as part of a team and individually
• Excellent time management
• Previous experience with Global Shop Solutions is a definite asset
