Job Description:

Summit Search Groupis seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join their client's team. The Project Manager plays a key leadership role within the operations team, overseeing construction projects to ensure safety, cost-effectiveness, schedule adherence, and successful execution. This position involves collaboration with Project Coordinators, Construction Managers, and subcontractors, providing leadership, training, and direction. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring punctual reporting for both internal and client-specified reports, with time split between the head office and project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring that they work collaboratively and efficiently to achieve project goals.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts, regularly reporting progress to clients and senior management.
  • Ensure that all work complies with relevant regulations and industry standards, including health and safety, environmental, and quality management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project partners, ensuring that their needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior project managers and team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • 6-9 years in the construction industry, project management, engineering, construction supervision, or field superintendent roles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with SiteDocs for safety documentation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Projects for project scheduling.
  • Knowledge of PWA (SharePoint platform) for storing project information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in both English and French is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate calmly and persuasively during interviews and confrontational situations.
  • In-depth understanding of traditional and online media, journalism principles, news cycles, and interview techniques.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and manage sensitive and complex communication issues.
  • Skills in drafting corporate narratives that align with overall business priorities.
  • Ability to write clear, engaging, and error-free copy for various communication materials.
  • Experience managing multiple issues and projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism and comfort in interacting with senior executives and officials.
  • Strong interpersonal and consulting skills.
  • Knowledge of communication planning and evaluation techniques.
