Whether you're commuting to their office in Toronto or setting up your laptop on your kitchen
table, your primary focus is going to be on customers. You'll be helping people solve their
problems, giving them peace of mind, and helping them figure out some of the trickiest
purchase decisions of their lives. You'll be running your own book of business and handling

A typical day might include:
- - Managing an existing portfolio of clients, providing high-quality service and advice,
- including risk identification, review and placement of insurance policies.
- - Developing and nurturing key relationships with clients, showing a high level of attention
- to detail required in solving complex risk issues.
- - Developing risk mitigation strategies for each client through insurance solutions.
- - Building and maintaining relationships with professional counterparts at client
- organizations.
- - Initiating key strategic tools: (i.e. benchmarking reports; loss history/coverage analysis).
- - Developing new business with an active approach in target industry(ies).
- - Developing and managing sales funnel in conjunction with annual sales target of the
- firm.
- - Cross-selling services.
- - Maintaining a fluency in the Company's various service offerings and market trends to
- enrich work performed and develop sales capabilities.
- Hosting client and insurer meetings in conjunction with specialist brokers and client
- service teams.
- Striving to provide market-leading service and solutions for all clients.
- Managing the efficient and timely collection of all receivables.
- Conducting policy reviews (2nd review).
- Coordinating, training and supervising the activities of other team members.
- Communicating with team members regarding performance, task accomplishment, and direction
- Leading and mentoring junior brokers and staff.
- Supporting a team approach to provide our clients with favorable claims management solutions
- Training new hires with respect to set standard procedures, product knowledge, and insurer's target classes
- Providing assistance to less experienced staff when required.
What's Required?
Other than the superstar attitude, here's what you'll need to shine with our client:
- At least 10+ years of insurance brokering or underwriting experience.
- Valid RIBO (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) license.
- Possesses a CIP or CAIB designation.
- Thrive on paying attention to details, and work well under the pressure of deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Focused and motivated to execute your responsibilities in an efficient, accurate, complete and timely manner.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A driven and enthusiastic learner who's always looking to improve and develop.
- Enjoy collaborating and working closely with teams.
- Committed to attaining or exceeding client expectations.
