General Description

Our maintenance team are hands-on contributors responsible for the security, maintenance and services of the work facility. Independently or as a team member, you will inspect, complete preventative maintenance, and complete minor corrective maintenance to the buildings and machines., among other projects and repairs.

You will occasionally interact with suppliers, vendors, and internal company associates. You are expected to be a self-starter, a good manager of time, work independently, and follow the Cirba Solutions standards of safety and conduct.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions including but not limited to: machine maintenance, building maintenance, laboratory plumbing, minor electrical, lighting, ect.
  • Perform minor electrical work, not requiring a licensed electrician, including: pulling electrical wire, bending conduit, replacing outlets, wiring motors, ect.
  • Maintain machinery, equipment, and tools by cleaning, lubricating, greasing, and/or oiling to ensure optimal working order.
  • Remove, repair, and re-install diaphragm pumps and associated plumbing.
  • Assist in fabrication and design of approved equipment modifications.
  • Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Ensures proper application of Lock-out Tag-out that may be needed to perform duties.
  • Manage and oversee work by contractors.
  • Responsible for building and grounds maintenance.
  • Prioritize work orders and communicate completion plan.
  • Inspect buildings, sites ad equipment for needed repair and maintenance work.
  • Fire safety.
  • Occasional housekeeping as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to troubleshooting and repair of machines, pumps, motors, and other production related equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, along with good judgement and operational focus.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, etc.
  • Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written and be able to communicate with your team.
  • Maintain a professional attitude. Work well under pressure and treat others with the same respect that you require, regardless of the situation.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, or use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop or kneel. This position requires the occasional use of a respirator.
  • The employee will at times be required to work from a scissor or aerial lift and will be required to work at heights. This will require the use of fall arresting devices for up to an entire shift. The employee will at times be required to enter confined spaces for maintenance and inspections for up to an entire shift.
  • The worker will be required to regularly lift 10 lbs. and occasionally lift to 50lbs.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive experience and responsibility in a maintenance field.
