Role Overview
Trindent Consulting is looking for an energetic, organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Corporate Travel Associate will play a key role in supporting a large team of staff that travel to various locations globally most of the week. The work will occur from our offices in Downtown Toronto on a full-time basis.
Key Accountabilities:
- Strategize and Optimize Airfare Bookings: Develop and implement strategies for booking airfares that ensure maximum value and practicality for staff travel. Continuously analyze and optimize booking processes to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
- Track and Maximize Refunds and Credits: Monitor refunds and credits with various airlines, ensuring optimal value for money. Develop systems to track and utilize these credits effectively.
- Leverage Discounts and Corporate Purchasing: Creatively apply discounts and corporate volume purchasing tactics to maximize savings. Identify and negotiate additional discount opportunities.
- Negotiate and Manage Corporate Rates: Strategically negotiate and contract corporate rates for hotels and vehicle rentals. Ensure maximum value and transparency for traveling staff, while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Conduct Cost/Benefit Analysis: Perform complex cost/benefit analyses on multi-city itineraries to ensure policy compliance and cost-effectiveness. Provide recommendations for optimizing travel routes and expenses.
- Manage Internal Travel Agency Operations: Oversee the operations of an internal travel agency, ensuring excellent service, speed, and accuracy. Develop and implement processes to adhere to budgets and policies while enhancing service quality.
- Maintain Office and Building Orderliness: Ensure the general orderliness and cleanliness of the office and building premises. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and protocols.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Strategically manage vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service and cost-effectiveness. Continuously evaluate and optimize vendor performance.
- Optimize Administrative, IT, and Real Estate Processes: Perform and oversee administrative, IT, or real estate duties and ad hoc projects. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree and good evidence of problem-solving skills a must.
- 3-5 years of experience in high-volume corporate travel, or with a leading travel agency.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Experienced in using telecommunication platforms (i.e., conference calls, video conferencing, web meetings, etc.).
- Detail-oriented and works with a sense of urgency.
- Highly sociable, courteous, and professional.
- Ability to manage competing demands and priorities.
- Assertive and confident to work with strong personalities.
- Embraces problem solving challenges and opportunities.
